Thin, washable rugs with a vintage look
Bavni makes printed area rugs, runners and doormats for homes where rugs actually get used: kitchens, hallways, kids’ rooms and living rooms with pets. The designs borrow from old oriental carpets, faded florals and safari prints, but the rug itself is modern — a low, soft pile on a non-slip backing, thin enough to sit under a door and light enough to fold.
The main point is care. Instead of sending a rug out for cleaning, you blot small spills, vacuum as usual and, when it needs a proper clean, put it in the washing machine on a cold, gentle cycle and let it air dry. Most designs come in a long run of sizes, from 2×3 ft doormats and 2×6 to 2.5×12 ft runners up to 9×12 ft room rugs, and several also come as round rugs.
Below, the range is grouped by style. Each card is one design in one colourway; the size buttons open that exact size on Amazon.
Machine washable
Cold, gentle cycle, then air dry. No dry cleaning, no professional shampoo.
Low and light
Mostly 5–6 mm thin, so doors clear it, robot vacuums climb it and it folds for storage.
Non-slip backing
A rubber backing grips hardwood, tile and laminate and keeps runners from creeping.
Runner to room size
Doormats, hallway runners, round rugs and 8×10 or 9×12 ft room rugs in the same design.
Vintage & Oriental
Distressed medallions and faded Persian-style borders — the core of the Bavni range, in warm taupes, brick reds, blues and sage greens.
Vintage Medallion Rugs
Oriental medallions and borders printed with a deliberately worn, washed-out finish. They hide everyday crumbs and paw prints well, which is why this is the line most people put in kitchens and entryways.

Floral & Botanical
Traditional flower-and-vine carpets in deep greens, navy and soft pastels, on a smooth low-pile microfiber surface.
Vintage Floral Rugs
Dense flower-and-leaf patterns in the style of old Arts & Crafts carpets. The microfiber surface is soft and the colours stay crisp after washing.

Dark Green Brown

Animal Prints
Zebra stripes, leopard spots and hand-painted tigers, from quiet neutrals to bright blue and pink statement pieces.
Zebra Print Rugs
Organic zebra stripes in grey-beige, brown-taupe or classic black and white, on a soft faux-cashmere low pile.

Leopard & Cheetah Rugs
Leopard hides framed by vintage borders, plus plain all-over spot prints. The framed versions come in unexpected colours like sky blue, pink and sage.

Blue

Tiger Rugs
Painted tigers in jungle foliage, Tibetan-style tiger hides and a few graphic tiger runners — the boldest part of the range.

Alligator Rugs
A single long alligator on a plain ground with small star accents, sized for hallways and living rooms.
Modern & Checkered
Checkerboards, plaids and abstract washes for rooms that want pattern without ornament.
Checkered & Plaid Rugs
Checkerboards, framed checks, patchwork squares and plaids — simple geometry in muted or bright colours.

Fun & Seasonal
Fish and fishing motifs, a woodland fox, a soccer pitch and Christmas designs.
Fish Rugs
Coastal and cabin designs with trout, sardines or geometric fish, good for bathrooms, cabins and kids’ rooms.

Woodland Fox Rugs
A green rug with a framed woodland border and a little fox — made for nurseries and playrooms.

What Bavni rugs are good at

Spills are a wash, not a crisis
Blot fresh spills, vacuum or sweep day to day, and when a rug needs a real clean, wash it cold on a gentle cycle and let it air dry. That makes Bavni rugs a practical pick for dining areas, kitchens and homes with kids or pets.

Thin enough for doors and robot vacuums
Most Bavni rugs are 5–6 mm thick. They lie flat under dining chairs, don’t catch the bottom of a front door and let a robot vacuum drive straight over them. They fold up small for storage or a move.

Runners for long hallways
Many designs come as 2×6, 2×8, 2×10 and 2.5×12 ft runners, so the hallway can match the living room. The non-slip backing keeps long runners from bunching up.

Animal prints with a vintage twist
The animal line mixes leopard hides, tigers and zebra stripes with faded oriental borders, so a bold print still sits comfortably in a traditional room.

Washing and care
How to flatten a new rug and keep it clean, based on Bavni’s own care notes.
Quick facts
- Wash: machine, cold water, gentle cycle
- Dry: air dry or air-only cycle, no heat
- Avoid: bleach, fabric softener, high heat
- Daily: vacuum on low or sweep, blot spills
- 1
Unpack and lay flat
The rug ships folded, so expect creases. Lay it flat for a few days, or roll it the opposite way and press the folds; heavy books on stubborn lines help.
- 2
Place it on a clean floor
The non-slip backing grips best on a clean, dry, hard floor. Sweep the spot first.
- 3
Keep up with daily dirt
Vacuum on a low setting or sweep. The thin pile does not trap much, and a robot vacuum can run over it.
- 4
Blot spills right away
Dab with a damp cloth instead of rubbing; most everyday spills lift off the surface.
- 5
Machine wash when needed
Fold the rug to fit the drum and wash it alone in cold water on a gentle cycle. Skip bleach and softener.
- 6
Air dry
Hang or lay flat to dry, or use an air-only dryer setting. High heat can damage the backing.
Questions about Bavni rugs
Yes. Bavni lists its rugs as machine washable: cold water, gentle cycle, no bleach, then air dry or an air-only dryer setting. Large 8×10 and 9×12 ft rugs need a big-capacity or commercial machine, so most people wash those less often and spot-clean in between.
The listings give between about 3 and 13 mm (0.12–0.5 in), and most designs are 5–6 mm. The compare table shows the range for each line. They are low-pile rugs, not plush shag.
They have a rubberized non-slip backing that holds on hard floors. On very glossy floors or in busy hallways a thin rug pad adds extra grip.
Bavni rugs are folded for shipping. Creases relax after a few days lying flat; rolling the rug the other way or weighing the folds down speeds it up.
They are low pile and washable, so pet hair vacuums off and accidents can be washed out. The reinforced edges help against fraying from claws.
For a sofa and two chairs, 8×10 ft lets the front legs rest on the rug; 5×7 or 6×9 ft works in smaller rooms or under a coffee table. 9×12 ft fits larger open spaces.
Leave about 10–15 cm of floor on each side and at the ends. A 2×6 or 2×8 ft runner suits most kitchens and short halls; 2.5×10 or 2.5×12 ft covers long corridors.
Yes, several designs also come in 4, 5, 6 or 8 ft round. Where a card has a round size, it is listed as a round size button.
The rugs are digitally printed with a faded, vintage look, so colours are softer than a woven rug. Screens differ, and each listing notes that slight colour variation is normal.
No. They are machine-made, printed rugs with polyester-type fibres (chenille, microfiber or faux cashmere surfaces). That is what makes them light and washable.
